As a natural hair girl, I love trying out new products to see how they will work with my curls. One product that I recently came across is the Wakati hair line. I had not heard much about it but then noticed that my Ibotta app had rebates for the entire line. I Googled and them and found out it was a brand for natural hair (particularly people of color) so I decided to give it a try. All products were relatively affordable (in comparison to other natural hair products) with a 9.99 price tag for each item. Here are a few other fast facts about the Wakati line that you will hear more about in my first impressions video:
Summary of my thoughts on this line:
My hair really loves these products, especially the shampoo and conditioner. My hair feels super clean after shampooing but not stripped. The conditioner leaves my hair feeling super soft and my curls are very defined. It does a good job detangling and I can use it to finger detangle while in the shower. The oil infused cream is great because it doesn't weigh my hair down and it doesn't leave a white residue as some styling creams and gels can do when they dry. It definitely gives my hair a nice shine, reduces frizz and compliments the shampoo and conditioner well. I also want to note that all of the products have a great but not overpowering scent. The refresher spray is good for day 2+ hair and is a quick way to get your curls back in order after the initial wash day.

One of my favorite Black-owned makeup brands has just launched a new makeup line that is exclusive to Target! The Beauty Bakerie line wanted to create a line that was more accessible and affordable to more people. Based on what I’ve tried so far, this brand does not lose the quality or cuteness that comes along with the original brand. The most expensive item in the line is the brush set which is $29 so a very affordable, yet high quality brand.
